Research Overview

Clinical research has demonstrated meaningful weight reduction with cagrilintide in adults with overweight or obesity. In a Phase 3 analysis, once-weekly cagrilintide 2.4 mg produced an average body-weight reduction of approximately 11.8% after 68 weeks compared with 2.3% with placebo. Gastrointestinal effects were among the commonly reported adverse events in the study.

Cagrilintide is also being studied as part of CagriSema, an investigational combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide. The combination is designed to target complementary pathways involved in appetite, satiety and metabolic regulation.
